Starting today I will update my blog in English and German as well. At the moment things are still a bit shaky but I hope to be able soon to post in both languages with no problems.

This is an inspiring solo performance by Chris Potter on one of the most popular jazz standards (http://www.jazzstandards.com/index.html) of all time: All The Things You Are. After I have heard this, I felt like practicing right away. Originally I found this file on the blog of saxophonist David Valdez (http://davidvaldez.blogspot.com/) His website is very interesting for people interested in jazz in general, and of course for saxophonists in particular. Right now you cannot access that recording from David’s site any longer but I succeeded with the help of Google to find the audio on Youtube (slightly shortened) as well as on Google Video (full length).
